Optimising your processes from inbound to outbound
Every operation is different, but typically, their processes can be split into a number of basic categories. We help you make each of these processes more efficient.
Our analytics capability allows us to determine the most suitable solution for your needs, following a structured approach. First, we develop an umbrella vision and determine the most efficient product design for each operation.
As a partner for integrated automated logistics solutions, we respect the specific character of each project and offer end-to-end automated solutions designed to fit your business.
Every operation is different, but typically, their processes can be split into a number of basic categories. We help you make each of these processes more efficient.
Any logistics and manufacturing operation starts with the reception of materials. Whether loaded on pallets or loose, the items will be registered and then distributed to other zones.
Quality controls, repacking and volumetric and photographic capture are just a few examples of the processes we can support at goods reception.
To locate the goods in the most efficient way possible, the process must share data with the goods reception phase and the order picking phase. Warehouses usually occupy the largest part of a logistics centre, for raw materials, finished products or general inventory.
Here, we can offer a wide variety of manual and automated solutions, customised according to quantity of items, order profile and warehousing requirements.
Picking usually constitutes the heart of a distribution centre. In a factory, the equivalent would be the kitting or spare parts area. Depending on the order profile and inventory, operations might involve automated or semi-automated discrete picking and batch picking.
Depending on the needs, high operational density and productivity or manual picking assisted by AGVs, we deliver the most efficient solution.
Once the order is processed, it must be shipped to the customer. This usually entails packaging, consolidation, quality control and classification, before the goods are loaded on the means of transport.
This requires different technological solutions from high-speed and high-density sorters to simpler units, which we can help you with. The process might incorporate robotics, pallet wrappers and end-of-line management.
Metro Madrid's logistics centre is located on the edge of the city in order to deliver parts to the more than 300 locations in the city centre as quickly as possible. Time and efficiency are crucial here. Metro Madrid was looking for a high-density storage solution with a view to expansion in the future. For the integration, they found a partner in Toyota Material Handling.
An AutoStore solution was installed at Metro Madrid’s micro-fulfilment centre. The design and delivery was done together with Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics Company.
Our Warehouse Execution System (WES) comes with warehouse technology control software (WCS) and warehouse inventory management software (WMS).
WCS co-ordinates automated order processing, while WMS focuses on stock and employees: quantity and location of stock, restocking, order processing in different waves, the division of labour, and oversight of receipt and shipping work.
